This cactus is hidden under the palms and is flowering well it is a pale pink colour with orange leaves and stems.Being hidden from the frosts and cold weather they will probably last a while longer.

At the end of and exciting trip they all left to have a champagne breakfast down at the pub before fronting up to work.

They are nearly back on the ground after going over the top of a dam to the right of picture, I was having visions of them scrambling out of the water.

The balloon caught the wind and went south of us so we followed it hoping to see it come down the next photos are of them nearly on the ground.

This photo is taken on the farm up behind our house we watched them coming closer to us thinking they would pass over but the wind took them the other way.So we hopped in the ute and followed them hoping to see the landing.

They were nearly ready for take off in this one, actually caught the burner being fired you wander how the ballon doesn't melt. Tania is the one in the corner with the dark brown coat on looking the other way.They had nearly twenty people packed in the basket when we did our ride years ago the basket was less than half the size.

Bob gave his staff a balloon ride for xmas last year and they went up today, this is the first of them it was not to cold and only a bit foggy and the clouds weren't bad either.

This my fur baby Abbey she gets up on the bench under the split system to get the warmth on these cold mornings,not half spoiled.Today our youngest baby was sterilised and she came home sore and sorry and still groggy she has to wear a bucket like contraption to stop her from eating the stitches.Will take some photos tomorrow when she feels better

This is MORBY COTTAGE one of the first colonial houses in the area it is set up as a museum with old furniture and quaint utensils and is open to tourists on the weekends where you can have afternoon tea.

Another of the inhabitants of the wild life reserve a young red kangaroo they are quite a tourist attraction, and are used to people stopping and photographing them.They are enclosed behind a high cyclone fence to keep out foxes and stray dogs.

This emu is on the Wild Life Reserve on the edge of town and is one of many animals that the locals feed and look after, it is right across the road from another of the Heritage Buildings Morby Cottage.
